RW TWisted3D -Harness Saddle is unique design and structure which dodges the withers of the horse and relieves the back and shoulder blades from pressure of the harness saddle. This has been recognized in the world, among other things, with a Swedish Innovation Award 2023. Also several World records and European records have been run with these TWisted3D harness saddles. We have a patent for this innovation in Europe, Australian, Canada and in the USA.
The Twisted3D harness saddle is fitted a little differently from a conventional 2D saddle.
There are two key things to understand because the 3D harness curves much farther back over the withers than a traditional straight saddle:
1. The distance from the harness saddle to the dock of the tail is considerably shorter than with any conventional harness. This must be taken into account when adjusting the crupper strap — it needs to be shortened compared to the usual setup people are accustomed to.
2. The same applies to the overcheck adjustment: it must be lengthened accordingly, since the center hook sits much farther back than on a standard harness.
Finally, check the rib line: it should sit in the same position as with a conventional harness saddle. When the crupper is adjusted short enough, the overcheck is long enough, and the rib line places the saddle correctly on the horse, the harness saddle will sit properly and allow the horse to move freely.
